Case Study - Handheld Sensor Data Reader

One of the leading providers of Cold Chain solution in world market, a ReliSource client, designed a handheld device for their customer base to download and examine sensor data on the go.
 
The company was looking for an outsourcing service provider with solid embedded development experience, who would help them to improve the existing firmware and develop new software and tool for the handheld device.

The device was designed base on a complete System -on-Module (SOM) that offers essential features for handheld and embedded networking application. The goal was to develop a new firmware supporting extended set of sensor devices to read from and viewing and plotting the data in a small LCD in the device. Another goal was to enable the firmware for printing facility using the built-in thermal printing device with the reader.  ReliSource engineering team developed the software using .Net CF with UART and USB support
