CTMS Financial Analyst

We are looking for a Financial & Data Validation Analyst - Clinical Trials / CTMS who is analytical, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with complex financial and operational data. Previous experience in clinical trials or with a CTMS is not required, but it will be considered a strong advantage. More importantly, the ideal candidate will be a quick learner who can adapt to new processes, validate information with a high degree of accuracy, communicate effectively, manage priorities, and take ownership of tasks through completion.

This role goes beyond traditional accounting or financial analysis. The successful candidate will review, compare, validate, and reconcile study-related financial data across source documents, trackers, business processes, and systems. The position requires strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies. Through hands-on experience and training, the individual will gradually develop specialized knowledge of clinical trial budgeting, financial workflows, and CTMS processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Relevant experience in financial analysis, reconciliation, audit, billing, revenue or claims operations, data validation, data quality, business analysis, or another process-driven analytical role is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to identify mismatches, missing information, duplicates, unusual values, and process inconsistencies and to follow them through to resolution.
• Ability to learn new systems, business rules, terminology, and workflows quickly and apply them consistently.
• Clinical trial, healthcare, pharmaceutical, CRO, or CTMS experience is a value-add, not a mandatory requirement Hands-on experience with Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS) preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Review and validate financial budgets within OnCore, including independently building new studies and processing amendments as required.
• Maintain and update the CTMS Tracker by accurately recording budget validations and protocol-related information.
• Collaborate with the CTMS Calendar Team to ensure timely and efficient budget validations following calendar approvals.
• Participate in regular meetings with the CTMS Team to assess progress and monitor the study validation pipeline.
• Update and modify the OnCore Chargemaster as new procedures, countries, and sites are incorporated into the system.
• Attend broader OnCore meetings with leadership and study teams to stay aligned with evolving CTMS objectives and operational changes.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Excellent communication skills with strong command of English.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Dependable, responsive to instruction, and able to improve through feedback.
• Strong coordination skills across teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to use cutting edge technologies like AI to efficiently deliver tasks.

• Experience in clinical trials, clinical research operations, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or a CRO environment.
• Hands-on exposure to Advarra OnCore or another Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS).
• Understanding of clinical trial budget concepts such as subject visit costs, milestones, pass-throughs, invoicing triggers, protocol amendments, and study calendars.
• Knowledge of medical coding concepts such as CPT or HCPCS.
• Experience using Adobe Acrobat or similar document-review and comparison tools.
• Exposure to Power Query, SQL, Power BI, or other tools used for data validation and analysis.
