Site Reliability Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering or related field.

• 3 years of experience relevant experience.

• Rapid Application Understanding: Demonstrate the ability to quickly comprehend and analyze applications, providing valuable insights to enhance their efficiency.
• Production Environment Management: Run the production environment with a keen eye on availability, taking a holistic view of system health to ensure uninterrupted services.
• Alert Improvement: Enhance alerting mechanisms to deliver more meaningful feedback, proactively identifying potential issues before they impact the system.
• Metrics Analysis: Gather and analyze metrics and logs from tools like New Relic, Seq, Application Insight, and other applications to facilitate fault-finding, ensuring a proactive approach to system optimization.
• Collaborative Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, especially with developers, to implement robust and reliable systems.
• Work Timing Flexibility: Be available during one of the following shifts: 8 AM EST – 5 PM EST, 4 PM EST – 1 AM EST, or 12 AM EST – 9 AM EST, ensuring coverage for critical system monitoring and support.

• Programming Skill: Expertise in the C# programming language is required. Strong proficiency and working experience with .NET technologies including Web and Windows applications.
• Database: Highly skilled in MS SQL Server with extensive expertise in MS SSIS package, tSQL, DDL, DML, INDEX, PARTITION, TRIGGER, and related areas. Possesses foundational knowledge of Database administration, including tasks such as DB backup, restore, and agent Job manipulation. Demonstrates a deep understanding of DB-Process performance improvement, encompassing areas like DML, Procedure, Function, and Trigger optimization. Suggest missing Indexes and improve existing Indexes. Monitor the Process Execution plan and suggest a better plan.
• Cloud Service: Hands-on experience with cloud services such as Azure (Service Bus, App Services, Key Vault, Application Insight, Function App, Logic App, Azure Cache for Redis, Storage, etc.)
• System Administration: A strong proficiency in system administration, infrastructure automation, and scripting languages will be beneficial.
• Experience with Monitoring Tools: Demonstrated expertise in utilizing monitoring tools or platforms such as New Relic, SolarWinds/DPA, Azure/AWS Services, or equivalent tools for assessing system health and resolving issues.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, and expertise in deploying and managing applications in cloud environments.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development and deployment processes.
